Dr George Margelis is adjunct associate professor with the University of Western Sydney’s Telehealth Research and Innovation Laboratory (THRIL).
He has been involved in technology for more than three decades. Previously, he was CIO of a private hospital group and managed a software development team that produced a personal health record prior to the PCEHR.
For his work in the area of telehealth and aged care, he was inducted into the Information Technology in Aged Care (ITAC) Hall of Fame. The honour recognises outstanding contribution to ICT learning and adoption in the aged-care industry.
