Scholarships to boost training for aged care workers.
Applications have opened for up to 395 undergraduate aged care nursing scholarships as part of the government’s move to create a sustainable aged care system.
The government will provide more than $7 million in nursing scholarships that provide financial assistance of up to $5000 per semester to a maximum of $30,000.
“These scholarships are one way we are working hard to better equip the aged care system to meet the growing demand for services into the future,” said Minister for Ageing Justine Elliot.
Applications for the scholarships close on September 10 2010.
