Diagnostic tools for acute pain are often difficult for health professionals to interpret and apply, and managing chronic pain holds its own challenges.
This was the focus of the presentation from the University of Queensland’s PainLang at the Australian Pain Society 35th Annual Scientific Meeting.
Health editor Dallas Bastian spoke to one of the presenters from PainLang, professor Jenny Strong. In the interview, Strong discussed the effectiveness of current diagnostic tools and the challenges health professionals face when trying to understand a patient in pain.
