Most of the 27-odd thousand cases of COVID-19 in Australia have been treated at home, by a team of nurses dedicated to keeping them healthy and the community safe.
One of those nurses is Tony Hecimovic. Tony is a nurse practitioner in community acute post acute care with 23 years experience, and during the pandemic he has taken on the role of clinical lead in the COVID response for the South Western Sydney Local Health district.
Tony joins the podcast to talk about the challenges of community nursing in a pandemic.
