This year is gearing up to be an exciting time for nursing at the University of Ballarat. A new re-accredited Bachelor of Nursing commences this year that recognises prior learning of graduates holding a Diploma of Nursing, by offering three semesters credit into the degree program.

A new Master of Nursing also commences this year, offering two new clinical streams of study in either acute care or palliative care. Postgraduate programs are also offered with the Master of Midwifery and Graduate Diploma in Paramedicine continuing to attract highly qualified registered nurses.

In February, the School of Nursing will celebrate its 25th anniversary of the introduction of nursing at the University of Ballarat. A special event has been organised for the evening of 5 February 2011 and it is expected to be a gala occasion with all past staff and students invited to attend.
