The Coronavirus Podcast: Can you catch COVID-19 from food?

Academics around the world are consumed with the questions that the coronavirus COVID-19 is asking of us. Questions such as such as where did it come from? Or how long will the virus stay airborne? What exact symptoms will I get and will it affect my long term health?

Or how about food? We are now well versed in contactless deliveries and cleaning our hands and surfaces more thoroughly, but can we get the virus through our weekly shop, or ingesting food infected with the virus?

Associate Professor of Food Microbiology Julian Cox, from the UNSW school of Engineering, joins the podcast to try and answer that question and talks about food safety in a time of pandemic.
