Dr Fenglian Xu on predicting postnatal depression

Depression affects up to 15 per cent of women after birth and a predictive model could be used help prevent the health issue, according to a medical researcher and statistician.

Dr Fenglian Xu, who will be undertaking research into developing a predictive model to prevent postnatal depression at the University of Technology, Sydney, spoke to Nursing Review about her study and prior research into depression risk factors.
