What does it mean to age as a woman?
Radio broadcaster and writer Jacinta Parsons's latest book, A question of age, dives into controversial topics such as the image of women in society and how their body and mind changes as they become older.
"Ageing for the female population is potentially a very dangerous thing to go through," she says.
"There are particularly gendered aspects of ageing for women in that we are objectified our whole lives – such as how skinny we are and what our capacities are.
"And then what we see is that as we age, all of the ways that we've been valued as people through our community begin to diminish."
Join Aged Care Insite in a conversation with Jacinta about the fragility of the changing body and how this can be confronting for women.
