Qld court to hear ‘fake nurse’ case

A man accused of pretending to be a nurse in two states is due to appear in a Queensland court on Wednesday after he was found wandering in the Northern Territory outback.

Nicholas William Crawford, 30, faces 115 police charges in Queensland after he allegedly falsified documents to get a job at a remote Cape York clinic earlier this year.

He was extradited to Cairns on Monday after he was found wandering a stretch of highway between Alice Springs and Katherine last week.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency has also brought charges against him in Queensland and Western Australia.
